I just got home from Wal-Mart.
There were carts and carts and carts full of 75% off Halloween candy. Sadly, most of the chocolate is gone, but I guess that is to be expected. There was still tons of great picks, though. Bags of fun size Skittles, Starburst, Nerds, Twizzlers, Tootsie Rolls, etc. were on clearance with prices ranging from .54 cents a bag to $1.12 a bag. Not too shabby.
There was also tons of costumes on clearance for 75% off, as well as various Halloween party supplies, decorations, and things of that nature. I got a cute pair of orange and black striped Halloween tights for my daughter for next Halloween for just .75 cents.
Also, on a side-note:
I was browsing through the clearance in the baby/kids section, and ran across 7-packs of Carter's--"Child of Mine" kids underwear (everything from 2T-4T) for just $5.00. There was a great selection of both boys and girls styles.
There were also 6-packs of socks for $3.50, and 2-packs of undershirts for $3.50. I'm not huge on Wal-Mart clothes, even kids clothes, but I trust the Carter's brand (even though it's their "lower-end" version), and this is a pretty great stock-up price on all of these items.
So RUN, don't walk--if you want some great deals. (Your local Wal-Mart may be have a different selection, obviously.)
(PS: Target usually clearances out its Halloween candy pretty quickly as well. I haven't been there since Halloween, but there's a chance it's hit it's 70% off price point as well.)
